SQUARE INTERSECTIONS
(Gordon Matta-Clark)
Il progetto trae origine prevalentemente dall’osservazione dei lavori di Gordon Matta-Clark.
Questi tagli che consentono la visione di un mondo “oltre” e nello stesso tempo ne annullano la visione (o percezione) prospettica.
E pensando anche alla prospettiva, la prospettiva fotografica in architettura, muovere una sorta di sfida al punto di vista fisso. La possibilità di muoversi all’interno di un luogo e in un’unica immagine, di poter vedere “altro” nella stessa immagine sfruttando la capacità della nostra visione (o mente) di completare le parti mancanti come fosse una sorta di testo contenente “errori” che la nostra mente corregge autonomamente.
Un viaggio quindi, forse più visionario e concettuale, in un luogo e nella percezione prospettica di esso.
Tecnicamente le immagini sono state realizzate con una Hasselblad SWC, questo per poter accentuare maggiormente la casualità della sovrapposizione dei vari scatti, non potendo controllare con precisione le varie inquadrature.
Le pellicole sviluppate sono state scansionate e i relativi file elaborati in post-produzione.
La stampe sono al pigmento colore e misurano cm 130×54 compreso il bordo bianco, varia la misura interna dell’immagine.

The project originates mainly from the observation of Gordon Matta-Clark’s works.
These cuts allow the vision of a world “beyond” the actual one, and at the same time they completely eliminate the vision (or perception) of any perspective.
Also, thinking about the perspective, the photographic perspective in architecture, giving a sort of challenge to the fixed viewpoint. The possibility of moving in a place and in a single image, where you can see “more” in the same image based on the capacity of our vision (or mind) to complete the missing parts as a sort of text containing “errors “that our mind corrects by itself.
A journey then, perhaps more visionary and conceptual, in a perspective and perception of it.
Technically the pictures were taken with a Hasselblad SWC, this was done in order to accentuate better the randomness of the overlap of the various shots, not being able to precisely control the various shots.
The developed films were scanned and their files were processed in post-production.
The prints are pigment color and measure 130×54 cm including a white border, varies the internal measure of the image.
